Government Funded Sessions
· We offer government funded childcare sessions for eligible families.
The Government funding covers your child’s Early Education and care sessions during term time, delivered by our experienced and nurturing team in a safe, stimulating environment.
What funding covers
· Up to 30 hours per week (during term time weeks)
· High quality Early Years Education
· Planned learning activities in line with the EYFS
· Use of our facilities, Equipment and Resources
What funding does not cover
· Meals and Snacks
· Care products such as Nappies and Wipes and sun cream
· Additional hours beyond funded entitlement
· Extra Activities/visits beyond funding entitlement

At Little Acorns Day Nursery we offer the funded sessions via the following options:
Funded hours are delivered within the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm free of charge*.
9.00-4.00 Full day
9.00-1.00 Am
1.00-4.00 Pm
Additional childcare hours outside the funded entitlement hours will be charged at the nurseries private hourly rate of £12.50 per hour.
Where families choose to access funded hours only with no additional childcare, these places are normally offered on a term time basis (38 weeks).
Meals and snacks are available as an optional extra for a voluntary contribution of £6.00 per day when securing a purely funded placement. This optional extra is not mandatory, and parents may provide their own food if preferred.
OR
Where families who choose to book additional private childcare hours outside of these funded hours will normally be offered an all year booking pattern (51 Weeks) to support staffing and operational sustainability of the nursery. When your booking pattern reflects all year attendance families may choose to access their funded entitlement on a term time basis (38 weeks) or as a stretched offer across the year, subject to availability and session structure.
Families have the option to secure an fully funded, term time only placement OR an all year stretched one with additional private hours, but these two options cannot be mixed.
*Funded places are offered subject to availability and operational capacity within the nursery.
You can select your preferred option of funded delivery.
Please note, where families choose to access funded hours only with no additional childcare, these places are normally offered on a term time basis (38 weeks).
- Up to 30 funded hours per week for 38 weeks with the remaining weeks and/ or additional childcare sessions are chargeable at private nursery rates. Places are subject to availability.
- Up to 22 hours stretched for 51 weeks of the year with any additional sessions chargeable at private nursery rates. E.g. this could include up to 3 x 7 hour funded sessions weekly
If you choose a funded-only place:
- Funded hours must be taken within our available sessions during Term Time weeks only
- Meals, Snacks and Consumables are not included
Please note funded only places are offered subject to availability and within our session structure.
We are fully compliant with current funding guidance. We do not charge for the funded hours themselves, however additional childcare hours outside of the allocated sessions are charged separately in line with the nursery private fee structure.
A non refundable registration fee of £100.00 is required for all booking patterns that secure additional privately charged childcare hours/ sessions. This will not be charged for fully funded only booking patterns.
Examples of full days with additional childcare hours- please speak to office staff for alternative options*.
* Government funded early education hours are provided free of charge during the hours of 9.00am-4.00pm. Charges shown within the below examples are in relation to additional private childcare hours outside of those sessions.

At Little Acorns Day Nursery, all our nursery sessions are competitively priced.
The above fees can be reduced by 20% if you make your payment via the government tax free scheme.
A non-refundable registration fee of £100.00 is required to secure your child's nursery place if you are opting for any other service other than Option B.
